To ask the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport, a) what AI training her Department provides, b) how many hours of AI training her Department provides and c) what topics and skills are covered.

In addition to centrally available AI training for all Civil Servants (via Civil Service Learning), the current training available to all DCMS staff includes:

  • DCMS AI in practice (Beginner level): an interactive, step-by-step module exploring DCMS guidances, compliance and best practices (1hr 33mins)

  • AI Ethics, Risks and Sustainability (Beginner level): explores the ethical landscape and sustainability of AI to help build confidence in its use (25 minutes)

  • Migration guide Gemini to Copilot (Beginner/Intermediate): a quick reference guide on the equivalent of functionalities between Gemini and Copilot

Secretary of State

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
