Yes, the Provision of Asylum Support and Accommodation Services (Notice identifier: 2026/S 000-016078) is open to local authorities to express an interest, in accordance with the instructions set out in the Prior Market Engagement Notice (PMEN). An assessment of suppliers’ capability to deliver these services will be undertaken as part of the formal tender process.

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
