To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how many Air Cadet squadrons there were in (a) July 2024 and (b) March 2026.

In July 2024 there were 877 Royal Air Force Air Cadet Squadrons, and as of March 2026 there was 871.

Secretary of State

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
