To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what assessment she has made of the potential implications for her policies of the joint letter by Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and 25 partner organisations in May 2025 for the immediate and unconditional release of individuals detained in Bahrain for exercising their human rights and fundamental freedoms, including Abduljalil al-Singace and Hassan Mushaima.

Secretary of State

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
