To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, if she will take steps to ensure that British nationals stranded in the Gulf region are proactively contacted by consular officials to assess medical needs, including access to essential prescription medication.

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what assessment she has made of the adequacy of the consistency of her Department's travel advice issued to British nationals in the Middle East; and what steps are being taken to ensure that advice does not conflict with subsequent evacuation guidance.

To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, if she will review the communication strategy relating to possible evacuation routes, including advice on travelling to neighbouring airports such as Muscat International Airport, to ensure British nationals receive timely and actionable information before evacuation flights are announced.

Secretary of State

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
