To ask the Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, whether they will require their department and agencies to offer payroll deductions to all employees to enable them to join a credit union.

The Department does not currently offer payroll deductions for Credit Unions, and there are no immediate plans to introduce this facility.

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
