To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, if he will make an assessment of the potential merits of inviting representatives from the steel industry to attend the Defence Suppliers Forum.

The MOD is currently reviewing the structure, focus and membership of the Defence Suppliers Forum (DSF) to incorporate the full range of expertise and experience in the Defence supply chain. We carefully assess all potential members of the DSF on the basis of their expertise and ability to add value to the forum.

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
