The Building Regulations 2010 apply to building work including new construction, extensions and material alterations. Part M of the Building Regulations sets requirements for access to and use of buildings, extensions and provision of sanitary conveniences. Building Regulations and the statutory guidance supporting them are reviewed and updated from time to time; and building work must be carried out so that it complies with the version of Building Regulations requirements in force.
