Department of Health and Social Care written question – answered on 21 September 2023.
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, how many NHS staff absences occurred in each of the past 12 months.
The following table shows the monthly number of full-time equivalent days lost to sickness absence in each of the last 12 months for which data is available. Due to differing numbers of days within months and an increasing workforce over the period, the days available and rate of sickness absence are also shown to allow comparison.
