To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, whether she has held discussions with the Mayor of London on the potential impact of air pollution levels on the environment.

Local Air Quality Management in London is devolved to the Mayor of London. The current SoS has not held any meetings with the London Mayor on this subject.

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
