The UK Government has consistently followed political developments in Sudan and initiated a coordinated, cross-government response as soon as violence broke out on 15 April. On 20 April, we launched a "Register Your Presence" service for British nationals and UK passport holders in Sudan. As of 4 May we have evacuated 2,450 people from Sudan - by far the longest and largest operation of any Western nation.
