To be eligible for a referral to the Restart Scheme, claimants must be of working age, have the right to work in the UK and live in England or Wales. Once refugees are granted Refugee Status, they may be able to apply for benefits such as Universal Credit and in turn to access Universal Credit employment programmes including the Restart Scheme.
