To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment he has made of the adequacy of public access to defibrillators.

No specific assessment has been made nor any recent discussions with the Chancellor of the Exchequer on the potential merits of removing VAT on defibrillators.

To increase access to defibrillators, the Government has announced funding of £1 million that expands the number and accessibility of automated external defibrillators in communities.
