To ask the Secretary of State for Defence, how much has been spent on defence Research and Development since 2022.

The Department tracks Research and Development by financial year (FY) rather than calendar year and are published in its Annual Reports and Accounts.
The latest information relates to FY2021-22, in which the Department recorded a research and development spend of £1.836 billion.
