To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, how many and what proportion of their Department’s employees work from home at least one day a week.

As with many departments, Defra has operated using a ratio of desks to staff for a number of years (both pre and post pandemic). Latest occupancy data can be found here https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/civil-service-headquarters-occupancy-data.

We continue to work in a highly agile way and ask staff to adopt hybrid working with at least 40%-60% of their week worked from one of our office locations.
