To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, whether he has had discussions with his counterpart in Saudi Arabia on sanctions in the Middle East.

The Foreign Secretary has not raised sanctions in the Middle East in his conversations with his Saudi counterpart so far. However, officials at our Embassy in Riyadh discuss how to prevent destabilising activity in the Middle East regularly with their Saudi counterparts, including through the use of sanctions designations.
