To ask the Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, if he will make an assessment of the reasons for the 3,000 complaints his Department received regarding the Green Homes Grant voucher scheme.

The Government recognises the scheme did not deliver at the rate and scale that was originally hoped for and faced a number of delivery challenges.

While the Government sought to improve the delivery of the scheme, it was important that the Department took stock and considered its approach to upgrading the energy efficiency of homes. The Government made the decision to close the scheme to new applications from the 31st March 2021.

Lessons learnt from this provide valuable insight into the challenges similar schemes face and will be used by senior officials when designing and planning future projects.
