To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment he has made of the implications for his policies of the report by the Stroke Association entitled Saving Brains, published on 9 August 2022.

NHS England has noted the Stroke Association’s report. The National Health Service aims to increase the number of specialists qualified to provide thrombectomy in England. We are working with the General Medical Council to extend accredited training in the delivery of mechanical thrombectomy for the treatment of acute ischaemic stroke.
