Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office written question – answered on 25th October 2022.
To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, what recent discussions he has had with representatives of the United Nations on funding to provide arms and military equipment to Ukraine.
The UK is in close consultation with representatives of the United Nations on relevant aspects of the conflict in Ukraine, although the United Nations does not supply or fund weapons for Ukraine. The UK plays a leading international role in supplying and funding military aid for Ukraine, alongside our allies. In July, the Secretary of State for Defence announced the UK-led International Fund for Ukraine which aims to raise over £1 billion with international partners to fund the provision of military capabilities for Ukraine.
