To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, whether she has had discussions with her counterpart in Sierra Leone on (a) freedom of assembly, (b) freedom of expression, and (c) allegations of violence at protests in August 2022.

The UK has a close and historic relationship with Sierra Leone. The British High Commissioner in Freetown has regular discussions with the Government of Sierra Leone and these have included the freedom of assembly, the freedom of expression and the violent protests of 10 August.
