To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what steps his Department has taken to ensure that citizens and their representatives, including hon. Members, receive responses to correspondence sent to his Department’s data protection officer.

The Ministry of Justice has a dedicated mailbox ( which is widely publicised internally and externally. Anyone can send correspondence via this mailbox which is then reviewed and disseminated to the appropriate person or team for actioning. If correspondence is received via post or other routes, there are processes in place to divert it to Data Protection Officer mailbox.
