To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, if he will make an assessment of the number of people who (a) suffer with insomnia and (b) take medication for it.

We have no current plans to make a specific assessment. We commissioned the former Public Health England to undertake an evidence review on sleep and health which has now been completed and will be published in due course.
