The UK has provided its agreed share of the $7 billion in humanitarian assistance to the countries one step from famine in 2021, and we have allocated a further £3 billion for humanitarian response over the next three years. The Compact also commits G7 nations to support action to prevent and respond to gender-based violence, exploitation, economic harm and health impacts experienced by women and girls in conflict and crises. We are coordinating closely with the German G7 Presidency on its developing plans for a Global Alliance for Food Security.
