To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, with reference to plans announced in April 2022 to create suitable accommodation for asylum seekers at the site of RAF Linton-on-Ouse, if she will take steps to help enable residents in that accommodation to integrate with the community in York should they wish.

Asylum seekers accommodated at Linton-on-Ouse are not detained and are therefore able to travel on and off site. As part of the service provision asylum seekers will be able to get to and from York. The Home Office, and our provider, are working with the Voluntary Community Sector and exploring what is available for those being accommodated to join and participate in, as part of community integration.
