To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, whether he has plans to ban parking on a pavement for roads outside residential properties that are only one car wide.

The Department consulted on measures to address pavement parking and received over 15,000 responses. Ministers are carefully considering the options in the light of the consultation findings, including the issue of parking on narrow roads. Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
