To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, if he will make it his policy to supply an updated copy of the Highway Code to each Member who requests a copy.

The up to date Highway Code is available for free on any smartphone, laptop or other web-enabled device, including at workplaces and libraries. Users rate it among the most useful pages on GOV.UK, with details of updates, the dates they came into effect, and email alert services for future changes.
To provide a free hard copy to Members who request a copy could potentially cost the taxpayer several thousand pounds depending upon uptake.

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
