No such consultation is planned. However, the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities (OHID) has regular meetings with national drug and alcohol treatment service providers to address operational challenges throughout the pandemic. As part of the Drug Strategy, stakeholders from commissioners, national service providers, Directors of Public Health, local authorities and people with lived experience of alcohol and drug misuse have helped to shape the new drug and alcohol treatment national commissioning standard.

The OHID’s national drug and alcohol implementation support team and regional leads will be supporting drug and alcohol services on the deployment of new funding and implementing system improvements.
