To ask the Secretary of State for Transport, what assessment he has made of the potential merits of widening access to community car clubs by working with insurers to make it possible for people with international driving licences to access car club vehicles.

The Department has not completed an assessment of widening access to car clubs for people with international driving licences.

However, the Department understands the benefit to the decarbonisation agenda from widening access to community car clubs and that is why we work with the insurance industry to ensure that driver access is supported and encouraged.
