The UK wants a positive relationship with the EU, underpinned by trade and our shared belief in freedom and democracy. We are already working together extremely closely on a number of issues, for example cross-border operational cooperation of law enforcement and criminal justice, counter terrorism and data - helping to keep our citizens safe and bringing criminals to justice.

Turning to trade, the UK has, or is on track to, deliver the vast majority of its Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) commitments on time. The Government is also working hard to ensure the EU and Member States implement their commitments equally as effectively, including through the formal TCA committees.
