Department of Health and Social Care written question – answered at on 26 January 2022.
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether he has made an assessment of the potential merits of providing covid-19 booster vaccines for vulnerable people only in the future.
The Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) regularly reviews its advice on the COVID-19 vaccination programme, taking into account new data, evidence on the effectiveness of the programme and the epidemiological situation. At this stage we do not know if there will be a need for further COVID-19 vaccination campaigns in the future and which patient groups it may be recommended for. The JCVI will provide advice in due course.
