Department of Health and Social Care written question – answered on 18th January 2022.
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what steps he is taking to tackle covid-19 infection levels.
We are reducing the levels of infection through pharmaceutical interventions such as vaccines, supporting the National Health Service and social care to prevent transmission, identifying and isolating positive cases and providing advice to the public on how to protect themselves and others. On 8 December 2021, the Government introduced further measures including legally mandating face coverings and introducing mandatory vaccine-only COVID-19 status certification in certain settings.
