To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Minister for the Cabinet Office, what legal costs his Department incurred in the case of The Good Law Project versus Minister of State for the Cabinet Office, which concluded on 9 June 2021.
I refer the hon. Member to the answers given to PQ13960 on 10 June 2021 and PQ24328 on 29 June 2021.
Our estimate of £500,000 - £600,000 for defending the case to June 2021 remains accurate.
The case is being appealed and further costs have not yet been determined.
