From 1 January 2001 to 31 May 2021, a total of 692 UK Armed Forces personnel have died as a result of a medal earning operation. Of these 39 had a non-UK nationality recorded on the Joint Personnel Administration or Legacy systems. 50 deaths had no nationality recorded therefore the figure presented is a minimum.
