To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, what assessment he has made of the potential merits of providing funding for organisations in receipt of EU funds at the end of the transition period.

Under the Withdrawal Agreement, the UK will continue to participate in programmes funded under the 2014-2020 Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) until their closure. This means that a number of programmes will continue to receive EU funding across the programme’s lifetime. In such cases, funding will continue until after 2020 and the end of the transition period. In addition, for some programmes, UK organisations can continue to bid for new grant funding under the 2014-2020 MFF as under the Withdrawal Agreement the UK has committed to funding participation in these.
