To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what assessment he has made of the effect of the intensive care unit admission criteria on reported mortality rates within the UK.

Treatment within intensive care units is based on clinical judgement on a case-by-case basis.

Patient safety is the top priority when deciding whether a patient should be admitted to hospital.
