As at 8 May 2020, around 98% of all COVID-19 test results are sent automatically to the individual within 48 hours, or 72 hours for home tests. There have been occasions where test results have been communicated later than the stated timeframes. We have developed the testing programme rapidly and therefore experienced some operational issues causing delays. We work to continue improving our response times to ensure that all individuals receive their test results in a timely manner.
