To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer, what assessment he has made of the economic effect of the covid-19 outbreak on university towns and cities.

The government continues to monitor the impact of Covid-19 on local communities across the United Kingdom, including through regular engagement with local authorities, Local Enterprise Partnerships and Mayoral Combined Authorities. In responding to these challenges, the government remains committed to levelling up opportunity in every region and nation of the UK.
