Last year, the MoJ established an expert panel to consider the current provisions to protect children and vulnerable parents during the family court process. Part of the remit of the panel is to consider the courts’ application of Practice Direction 12J. The call for evidence resulted in more than 1,200 responses. The panel has analysed the findings and is finalising its report and recommendations for next steps. This will be published in due course
