To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department, whether additional support will be given to people with the Right to Remain in the UK but without access to public funds should they be treated for covid-19.
The testing and subsequent treatment for covid-19 have been added to the list of communicable diseases that qualify for free NHS treatment.
The Home Office has also put in place a range of measures to support those affected by travel restrictions associated with coronavirus. A dedicated coronavirus immigration helpline has been set up to deal with queries. The freephone number is 0800 678 1767 (Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm).
