Department of Health and Social Care written question – answered on 17 March 2020.
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what recent steps he has taken to increase access to sexual health clinics.
More people are accessing sexual health services, with consultations increasing by 15% between 2014 and 2018. To help manage this overall increase in demand, local authorities have been utilising technology to manage lower risk and asymptomatic patients. Free, confidential online services which are convenient for patients are increasingly being commissioned. As these services develop, more people will be able to access them.
