To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, whether his Department has made an assessment of the potential merits of allocating funding to the NHS for non-pharmaceutical cancer treatments other than diagnostics equipment, radiotherapy machines and proton beam therapy.
No assessment has been made.
NHS England and Improvement’s service development policy sets out NHS England’s approach for making decisions about which new treatments and interventions to routinely commission, and the approach used for updating existing service specifications, or creating new ones.
