To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, what recent assessment he has made of the adequacy of international law to protect diplomatic staff posted overseas.

We frequently assess the adequacy of international law to protect diplomats and other FCO employees posted overseas. We do so as part of our day to day business and in the context of specific provisions and cases as they arise.
