The British Government is concerned by events that have occurred in Chile. Our Ambassador in Chile has talked with representatives of the Chilean Government about the protests and has expressed concern about the violence and reports of human rights abuses. Our Embassy in Santiago will remain in contact with the Chilean authorities, and we continue to monitor the situation closely.
