Ministry of Justice written question – answered at on 29 October 2019.
To ask the Secretary of State for Justice, what targets the Legal Aid Agency sets for its staff.
The Legal Aid Agency’s operational targets are set in the form of Strategic Objectives and Key Performance Indicators. To support the delivery of these, caseworkers at the LAA aim to work within “Time Standards”, which reflect the ‘average processing times’ for each casework element. As part of performance monitoring, Decision Makers are assessed in terms of both output and quality, with reference to the amount of work they would be expected to complete.
