To ask the Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government, what guidance he has issued to local authorities on the use of advertisements on their websites.

Local authorities are free to decide if and how to raise revenue through their digital platforms. However, they are legally required to consider the Code of Recommended Practice on Local Authority Publicity on all publicity issues, including website maintenance and the hosting of third-party material.
