The Ministry of Defence (MOD) does not collect data on the numbers of workers leaving the UK defence industry.

In our most recent assessment, MOD official statistics showed that MOD spending with UK industry in 2017-18 directly supported 115,000 jobs across the country, and others report that 260,000 jobs are supported directly and indirectly across the sector.
