To ask the Secretary of State for Education, when his Department plans to respond to the call for evidence on Building Bulletin 100: Design for Fire Safety in Schools, (BB100).

The Department is currently analysing the responses to the Call for Evidence on 'Building Bulletin 100: Design for Fire Safety in Schools'. As part of this exercise, meetings with key stakeholders are ongoing. The Department expects to be able to share a formal response during the autumn term.

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
