Department of Health and Social Care written question – answered on 26 July 2019.
To ask the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, what plans he has to increase the number of severe asthma centres.
There are currently 14 severe asthma centres in England. There are no plans to increase the number of centres, as severe asthma collaborative networks will improve severe asthma care within localities. All specialist providers are required to develop a networked model of care as the vehicle for delivering an optimal pathway and maximising patient outcomes and experience.
