To ask the Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, what estimate she has made of the proportion of motor neurone disease sufferers who were able to fast-track access to benefits for the latest period for which figures are available; and if she will make a statement.

There are published statistics available on Stat-Xplore on PIP Clearances (whether the claim was awarded, disallowed or withdrawn by the claimant) which can be broken down by disability for claimants who attended an assessment (this can be found using the Clearance Detail and selecting the options, “Awarded” and “Disallowed post referral to the Assessment due to Failing the Assessment”) and by whether the claim was cleared under Normal Rules and Special Rules.
