To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of whether Turkey has begun to fill the reservoir of the Ilisu Dam; and how they assess the prospects for negotiations on water flows in both the Tigris and Euphrates.

The British Government understands that the filling of the reservoir of the Ilisu Dam is yet to commence. The UK encourages dialogue between Turkey and its geographical neighbours on regional issues, including water flows.
